This is Media Research Lab's most recent Holojam project centered around a performance between two dancers (Maria Lantin and Ken Perlin). We chose to represent the avatars in an abstract way, highlighting the central topic of the work: a collision of black holes.
The interesting thing about this project was the asymmetrical representation of the avatars. Each of the dancers saw each other as masks, which allowed for a more personal and intimate form of interaction, while the audience saw an abstract set of rings in the position of the hands and head.
